Physiotherapy Barcelona
Care That Moves You — Beyond Recovery, Toward Performance
Pain, stiffness, or injury can slowly take control of daily life. Movements that once felt natural begin to feel restricted. Your body no longer supports what you want to do. At FIBRA, physiotherapy and osteopathy are about understanding why this happens — and how you can move freely, confidently, and pain-free again.
We focus on rehabilitation, active recovery, and injury prevention to help you regain strength, mobility, and resilience. Every session is designed around you, your body, and your personal goals — whether recovering from a sports injury, managing lifestyle-related complaints, or optimizing overall fitness.
FIBRA is a private physiotherapy and osteopathy studio in Barcelona where personal attention is central. In a calm, carefully designed environment, you are given the space and time to recover with trust and comfort. With more than 20 years of experience in physiotherapy and osteopathy, each treatment is grounded in clinical expertise, practical experience, and a personalized approach tailored to your specific needs.
What Physiotherapy Means to Me
Physiotherapy, for me, begins with understanding the person behind the complaint. Every session starts with careful listening and a thorough assessment to uncover not only where the pain is, but why it developed.
Clear explanations and honest guidance are essential. When you understand your body, recovery becomes an active process. I combine hands-on techniques, mobilizations, and targeted exercises to treat the root cause of your symptoms.
Whether you are dealing with joint problems, muscle tension, chronic pain, or recovering from a sports injury, my goal is to guide you step by step toward stronger, more confident movement. Physiotherapy is a collaboration — together we work toward recovery, function, and resilience.
Recover by Your Own Strength
You are capable of recovering by your own strength — my role is to guide you in how to do that.
Many people arrive at the clinic with uncertainty due to misinformation about posture, backs, knees, and spines. Fear-driven advice about “dangerous movements” or “shifted vertebrae” often increases doubt and stress.
At FIBRA, we focus on what your body can do, not what it cannot. The human body is remarkably strong, adaptable, and capable of healing. By creating the right conditions for recovery, providing clarity, and following a structured plan, you will discover your body’s potential. With the right guidance, you don’t just recover — you often return stronger, more aware, and more confident than before.
This is honest, no-nonsense physiotherapy.
Modern Complaints: Lifestyle, Stress, and Inactivity
While my early practice focused on sports injuries, I have increasingly worked with people experiencing health complaints caused by modern lifestyles. Long hours of sitting, chronic stress, inactivity, and unhealthy habits often lead to back and neck pain, tension, fatigue, and musculoskeletal issues.
Treatment at FIBRA addresses these lifestyle-related complaints with a combination of physiotherapy, osteopathy, and active rehabilitation. The goal is to restore balance in movement, posture, and strength while promoting healthier daily habits — helping your body function optimally, both now and in the long term.
Physiotherapy Barcelona — Precision and Depth
Each session combines the precision of physiotherapy with the depth of osteopathy. This dual approach allows treatment to go beyond symptom relief and address the root causes of your complaints.
Sessions may include:
Hands-on mobilizations and deep tissue therapy
Manual therapy guided by physiotherapy and osteopathic principles
Guided exercises to rebuild strength, mobility, and control
Clear explanations about your injury and recovery
Step-by-step progression toward your personal goals
Whether recovering from a sports injury, managing chronic tension, or preventing future problems, each session is tailored to your body, your lifestyle, and your long-term needs.
Training at FIBRA — Active Recovery & Optimal Fitness
FIBRA is not just a physiotherapy clinic — it is also a place to train actively. Training sessions are designed for:
Active recovery during an injury or rehabilitation period
Strengthening and conditioning after recovery
Optimizing fitness and mobility for daily life or sport
Preventing future injuries through guided exercise and education
Active recovery programs focus on safe, structured movement that supports healing, restores function, and gradually rebuilds strength and confidence. By combining physiotherapy principles with functional training, your body becomes stronger, more resilient, and better prepared for everyday challenges or sports performance.
Whether your goal is rehabilitation, fitness, or injury prevention, training at FIBRA complements therapy, ensuring sustainable results.
Body · Mind · Movement
The name FIBRA reflects the essence of tissue — the foundation of movement.
Body — Physical recovery focuses on restoring tissue quality, mobility, balance, and functional strength through hands-on treatment and targeted exercises.
Mind — Understanding your body and injury is essential. Clear explanations reduce fear, increase trust, and create confidence in the recovery process.
Movement — Recovery is not complete until you can return to daily life, work, or sport with strength and control. Step by step, therapy supports your ability to move efficiently and confidently.
Specializations — Sports Injuries, Spine, and Chronic Complaints
With a background in sports, I specialize in sports injury rehabilitation, helping athletes return safely to performance.
Through osteopathy, I also treat spine-related issues and chronic musculoskeletal complaints, taking a holistic approach that addresses the root causes rather than just the symptoms.
This combination allows FIBRA to effectively treat both acute injuries and long-standing, complex conditions, supporting lasting recovery, improved function, and injury prevention.
Common Injuries and Conditions Treated
At FIBRA, I treat a wide range of musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries, including:
Spine & Neck: Back pain, neck pain, postural issues, chronic tension

Muscle & Soft Tissue: Muscle strains, deep tissue injuries, dislocations, overuse injuries
Sports-Specific: Running injuries, CrossFit injuries, marathon training complaints, general athletic overuse injuries

About Me — Physiotherapist in Barcelona - Bram Nieuwenhuijse
My passion for movement began with playing football at a high level, which led me to study physiotherapy in the Netherlands, where I developed a strong foundation in clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice.
Since 2007, I have worked in Barcelona treating sports injuries, musculoskeletal conditions, spine-related complaints, and chronic pain. In 2016, I completed a Master’s in Osteopathy to deepen my understanding of spinal dysfunctions and long-term pain management.
In 2025, I founded FIBRA — a small, personal practice delivering calm, honest, and precise treatment focused on long-term improvement and sustainable results.
